Situated in Far
East Gippsland approximately 150km north of Bairnsdale, Benambra
Primary School, No. 1746, is one of the smallest Victorian primary schools with
only 11 students and 1.4 teaching staff.
The school
grounds consist of one main building, a large adventure playground,
hothouse, double ovals, and a small portable classroom, which also
accommodates the childcare program, which is run every fortnight.
Although
Benambra is a small, isolated area, with a population of
approximately 100, the picturesque views are simply a start to what
this country town has to offer.
