Benambra Primary School, although
an isolated and very small school, offers the children who live in the
area all the facilities a bigger, town school would offer. Technology
has been a huge advancement in education and Benambra PS is able to
provide a computer linked to the Internet for every child in the
school, ensuring that the children experience the full benefits
technology has to offer. Needless to say, we have a computer ratio of
1:1.

The real benefit of attending
such a small school is that the children all receive much more
individual attention compared to the larger schools with larger class
sizes. They are able to learn at their own speed in an informal, family
atmosphere. Also, because the children are all in one classroom they
are able to learn from what goes on around them.

The school grounds consist of
one main building, a large adventure playground, hothouse, double
ovals, and a small portable classroom, which also accommodates the
child care program, which is run every fortnight.
